Quick room concepts help a client say "yes, that direction" before anyone buys a sofa. These notes describe how I use Raphael AI to sketch interior moods for small renovation projects.
Describe the space first: size, window position, floor material, ceiling height. Then add the style. "A narrow north-facing living room with oak floors and one tall window, Japandi style, linen sofa, paper lamp" gives far better results than "Japandi living room".
Ask for the same viewpoint each time, for example "eye level from the doorway, 24mm lens". When the camera stays put, clients compare furniture and colour instead of being distracted by a new angle.
Generate three versions that differ in one variable only: wall colour, textile, or lighting. Too many changes at once make feedback vague.
Generated rooms are mood boards, not plans. Dimensions, load-bearing walls and real product availability still need a site visit and a supplier list.
The tool is at https://raphael.app; it runs in the browser, so I can show options on a laptop during the first meeting.
